Installation and removal
This is the first release of the xrftool for Raspberry Pi. The package contains the executable binary and manual page. To install then download the package file and install with command:
sudo dpkg --install xrftool_1.0e_armhf.deb
To subsequently remove the package then use:
sudo dpkg --remove xrftool
Note: xrftool reconfigures the terminal to run in a raw terminal mode. Should the command not exit cleanly and leaves the terminal in a bad state then use stty sane on the command line to restore the terminal to a usable state.
For USB devices on Linux using a SRF or Explorer Plus then the serial port is typically /dev/ttyACM0 i.e. on the command line use xrftool /dev/ttyACM0. The port associated with the USB device may be found by looking in the log file /var/log/syslog.
